


Hayden founded Studio Wainui in 2014 with a vision of creating a niche civil and environmental consultancy, providing innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions to both the public and private sectors. Being located in Raglan is a great opportunity for our team to balance family time, enjoy the great surf and also get projects out the door. Hayden has over 20 years of experience in civil, stormwater and land development related projects within professional engineering consultancies. He has been responsible for construction, investigation, analysis, design, planning and project management of private development and infrastructure projects.

Andrew is a licensed Cadastral Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in land development. He has had extensive involvement in land development projects throughout the Waikato Region spanning from small to large residential developments, rural and rural residential developments, road upgrades, state highway projects and windfarms. His commitment and adeptness contribute significantly to the success of these projects. Andrews comprehensive knowledge and practical skills make him a valuable asset in the intricate landscape of land development sector.

Richard has around 24 years’ experience in the environmental planning field working with central government departments, district councils, regional councils and for the past 14 years in the private consulting sector. He has been responsible for both processing, applying for and undertaking compliance monitoring on numerous large-scale complex resource consent projects requiring a high level of technical expertise including state highway projects and windfarms. Richard's key strengths are his expert knowledge of best practice environmental management requirements for land development projects and his skills in consultation and engagement.

Andrew has over 18 years’ experience in environmental science and resource management planning, working with regional councils and the Environment Protection Authority Victoria. He has been responsible for processing complex resource consent applications, compliance monitoring, and providing technical advice on challenging regulatory matters including National Environmental Standards for Freshwater projects. Andrew’s key strengths are his ability to combine scientific expertise with practical planning solutions and his technical skills in environmental assessment and regulatory analysis.

From supporting musicians to supporting engineering teams, Mel believes just about anything can be handled with a solid spreadsheet and a good coffee.
